In a significant step forward, the Government of Iraq has completed a series of comprehensive forensic auditing workshops, backed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to bolster the country’s capabilities in detecting and preventing financial crimes.

The project has received generous funding from the US Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) since 2021, supporting over 700 investigating judges and prosecutors, police investigators, Commission of Integrity investigators, auditors, and financial analysts to effectively investigate and adjudicate complex financial crimes.
