Job Opening: Budget and Compliance Analyst at UNFPA Congo, Democratic Republic of
Location: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Democratic Republic of Congo is seeking a highly skilled Budget and Compliance Analyst to join its team in Kinshasa. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of project funds, providing valuable advice on policy application and donor requirements, and working closely with program teams, operations, and finance teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage project funds to ensure compliance with donors’ expectations
- Provide expert advice to Country Office management and staff on policy application and donor requirements
- Work closely with all program teams, operations team, and finance team to ensure grants management is carried out efficiently
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Analyze complex data sets and present findings in a clear and concise manner
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, Management or a relevant subject
- At least 2 years of experience in finance, budgeting, audit or management control
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare financial reports and statements
- Ability to work independently on tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adjust to changing circumstances
- Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems
- Fluency in French (oral and written) is required; good working knowledge of English is desirable
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in challenging and complex humanitarian/emergency settings
- Good knowledge of humanitarian response and prior experience in humanitarian response
