Namibian Competition Commission Seeks Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Summary

The Namibian Competition Commission has announced a vacancy for a Risk and Compliance Officer to be based in Windhoek, Namibia. The successful candidate will provide professional and effective risk and compliance management support to the Commission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the risk management framework that adequately addresses both risk and compliance
  • Identify risks at a strategic, activity, and process level, prioritize them by assessing likelihood and impact, and develop divisional/business unit risk registers
  • Monitor the Commission’s responses to risks, report on risk to supervisors, and assist management in creating an awareness of risk through ongoing communication and training
  • Advise on control measures to mitigate risks, assist with internal and external stakeholder engagement, and develop a compliance risk profile of the Commission

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field
  • Membership with and training by the Risk Management Institute of South Africa (IRMSA) and the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa (CISA)
  • At least three years’ working experience in risk and compliance management processes, requirements, and practice
