Job Purpose
The Junior Compliance Officer is responsible for executing and maintaining the collection of outstanding revenue on assigned small cases, which include accounts receivable related to liabilities for all tax types within the geographical area under the Tax Office’s jurisdiction.

Key Responsibility Areas
The Junior Compliance Officer will be responsible for:
Processing and Monitoring Accounts
- Processing and monitoring assigned taxpayers’ accounts
- Conducting field visits and monitoring compliance listings
- Interviewing taxpayers and/or representatives to collect taxes due and initiate corrective actions
- Organizing and monitoring payment arrangements
- Reconciling accounts based on payments made
- Reviewing and evaluating information from various sources to determine available debt resolution options
Performance Standards
This job is considered satisfactory when:
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Relevant and accurate documentary evidence is prepared
- Delinquent returns and payment enforcement programs are implemented according to guidelines
- Manageable payment arrangements are made and constantly monitored
- Revenues collected are lodged on a timely basis and accounted for in accordance with the Financial Administration and Audit Act (FAA)
- Taxpayers’ accounts are constantly monitored and accurately reconciled after each transaction
Authority to:
- Collect taxes, duties, and levies
- Contact taxpayers on delinquent accounts
- Recommend amendments to procedures

Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate should hold an Associate Degree in Business Administration or Accounting or equivalent qualification, with one year work-related experience.
