London Mining Plc Ex-CEO, CFO, and Consultant Charged with Corruption by the Serious Fraud Office

London, United Kingdom - The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has announced the charging of Graeme Hossie, the former CEO of London Mining Plc, Rachel Rhodes, the CFO, and Ariel Armon, an international business consultant, with conspiring to make corrupt payments in order to securing preferential treatment for London Mining Plc in Sierra Leone.

Allegations and Investigation

This complex international case, which began in 2016, also involved investigations into the company’s operations in Brazil, China, Colombia, Greenland, and Saudi Arabia. London Mining Plc, headquartered in central London, went into administration in 2014. The accused are set to appear before Southwark Crown Court on July 14, 2023.

The trio is alleged to have made multiple bribes to gain advantages for London Mining Plc in Sierra Leone, as part of an extensive investigation led by the SFO.
