Job Description

  • Support the Principal Officer, Compliance and Audits in ensuring compliance with international, regional, and national maritime obligations
  • Provide legal advice to senior management and government officials
  • Coordinate legal processes involving consultation, review by the Attorney General’s Office, and promulgation of maritime laws

Qualifications and Experience Required

To be eligible for this role, you should have:

Tertiary Qualification

  • A tertiary qualification in law with a Diploma in prosecution or specialisation in maritime law

Work Experience

  • At least 5-7 years of demonstrated experience as a lawyer
  • Experience in drafting and enforcing maritime law
  • Experience in implementing quality management systems
