New Role Announced at OM Zimbabwe Group: Compliance Officer

Strengthening Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance

In a move aimed at enhancing its risk management and regulatory compliance capabilities, the OM Zimbabwe Group has announced an opening for a Compliance Officer role. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and embedding compliance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned to the group’s enterprise risk management framework
  • Aggregate, maintain, and monitor range of risk-based compliance plans and programmes covering all regulations and statutes governing OM Zimbabwe’s business operations
  • Implement group policies and standard requirements related to risk management
  • Challenge and ensure that local subsidiaries adopt appropriate risk-based compliance management processes and procedures
  • Act as a change agent to embed group policies and compliance plans within the local company

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure that group companies identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report significant compliance risks
  • Act as the key person responsible for preventing money laundering and implementing anti-money legislation
  • Facilitate the development of appropriate compliance risk response strategies
  • Assist with resolving audit findings related to compliance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Compliance)
