Strengthening Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance

Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer
- Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned to the group’s enterprise risk management framework
- Aggregate, maintain, and monitor range of risk-based compliance plans and programmes covering all regulations and statutes governing OM Zimbabwe’s business operations
- Implement group policies and standard requirements related to risk management
- Challenge and ensure that local subsidiaries adopt appropriate risk-based compliance management processes and procedures
- Act as a change agent to embed group policies and compliance plans within the local company
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure that group companies identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report significant compliance risks
- Act as the key person responsible for preventing money laundering and implementing anti-money legislation
- Facilitate the development of appropriate compliance risk response strategies
- Assist with resolving audit findings related to compliance
