Honiara, Solomon Islands - The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) National Crime Prevention Department (NCPD) recently concluded a successful Economic Crime Prevention Workshop, held from June 20-22, 2023.

The three-day workshop was organized by the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) and attended by 15 police officers from the NCPD. The event took place at the RSIPF Headquarters in Honiara, focusing on various aspects of economic crime.

Awareness and understanding of these crimes and prevention measures are essential for our department,” he stated.
CPLT criminal investigation expert, Mr. Zheng Xiaoren, emphasized the importance of economic crime prevention. “As Solomon Islands continues to develop economically, issues relating to economic crime will pose new challenges for RSIPF. Preventative measures must be taken to minimize their occurrence,” he explained.
