Promoting Integrity and Ethical Behavior in Tajikistan’s Business Sector
The Economic Crime and Cooperation Division of the Council of Europe recently organized a series of webinars aimed at promoting integrity and ethical behavior among business entities in the Republic of Tajikistan. The three-webinar event, held from June 24-30, 2022, focused on ethics, anti-corruption compliance, risk management, and anti-bribery.
Raising Awareness about International Standards
The webinars brought together around 50 participants from private companies and their associations, as well as representatives of the public sector that regulates business in Tajikistan. During the events, participants had the opportunity to learn about international standards and implementation practices regarding business integrity. They also explored cooperation mechanisms between state authorities and the private sector.
Improving National Anti-Corruption Framework
The webinars provided a platform for national counterparts to consult on improving the existing national anti-corruption framework in respect to private/business sector compliance. This initiative is part of the “Promoting Transparency and Action Against Economic Crime in Tajikistan” project, which is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
