Regional Cooperation on Anti-Money Laundering Takes Center Stage in Paraguay and Uruguay

International Effort to Combat Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Gains Momentum

Asunción, September 12, 2023 - A significant training program aimed at enhancing regional cooperation on anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) has commenced in Paraguay. The “Turning Intelligence into Evidence” workshop is a collaborative initiative between the EU Global Facility, Paraguay’s Secretariat for the Prevention of Money or Asset Laundering (SEPRELAD), and Uruguay’s National Secretariat for the Fight against Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (SENACLAFT).
