The Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) has announced a vacancy for a Compliance Officer, emphasizing the significance of this role in ensuring compliance with licence conditions and applicable legislation in the country’s communications sector.

Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and investigating compliance by service providers to licence conditions and legislative requirements
  • Issuing periodic reports on compliance issues

Requirements for the Position

To fill this critical position, the LCA is seeking a highly qualified individual with:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent
  • At least three years’ experience in a relevant area
  • Experience in the broadcasting sector is an added advantage

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Excellent analytical and methodical skills
  • Self-driven and hardworking attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and Sesotho (oral and written)
