Money Laundering Allegations Rock Monaco Royal Family
======================================================
Shocking Exposé Reveals Corrupt Dealing by Prince Albert II and Relatives
In an explosive exclusive interview, former accountant and chief of staff to Prince Albert II, Philippe Palmero, has revealed shocking secrets about the Monaco royal family’s corrupt dealings. Palmero shared confidential notebooks that detail alleged money laundering, favoritism, and lavish spending by the prince and his relatives.
Allegations of Money Laundering and Favoritism
According to Palmero’s notes, Prince Albert II has been generous with his illegitimate children, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi and Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste. Jazmin, whose mother is a former waitress who had a brief fling with the prince, receives an annual allowance of approximately $344,000. Her half-brother, Alexandre, also receives a similar amount.
Palmero’s notes also reveal bad blood between Nicole Coste, Alexandre’s mother and a Togo-born former flight attendant, and Princess Charlene. According to Palmero, Nicole was “en route” to cost the palace $850,000 a year in 2015, prompting Albert to give her another $350,000 and purchase an apartment for her in London.
Palace Denies Allegations
Palmero has accused the palace of falsely accusing him of corruption and theft. In a statement, he denied any wrongdoing, saying, “I never took a cent… This is a 100 percent denial. I am neither corrupt nor a thief, all improbable things of which the princely family, for whom I devoted myself for two decades, unjustly accuses me today.”
The palace responded by calling Palmero’s accusations “baseless” and “defamatory.” In a statement, Prince Albert said, “The attacks that [Palmero] makes against me and against the state [of Monaco] and its institutions show his true nature and the little respect… he has for the family and the principality.”
Expert Weighs in on Allegations
Robert Eringer, a former head of intelligence to Prince Albert II, has long been critical of the prince’s handling of his relatives. He told The Post that Palmero’s revelations are just the tip of the iceberg.
“I’ve seen it all,” Eringer said. “This is just a small part of what really goes on behind closed doors. The Grimaldi family is not as noble and honorable as they make themselves out to be.”
Despite the allegations, Eringer believes that Prince Albert’s reign is secure.
“There’s no authority who can oust him, and I don’t think Albert is capable of stepping down,” he said. “If he did, his son would be the ruler but there would be a regent appointed, someone like Princess Caroline. But I don’t see that happening. And it’s not as if the citizens of Monaco are going to stage a revolt.”
Public Demands Transparency and Accountability
The scandal has sparked outrage among Monegasques, who are demanding greater transparency and accountability from their royal family. As the situation unfolds, one thing is clear: the Grimaldi family will never be seen in the same light again.
