The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC), a government-owned institution based in Kampala, Uganda, has announced a vacancy for a Senior Risk and Compliance Officer. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement compliance workflow processes
  • Monitor staff adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • Identify and flag any violations of acceptable business controls
  • Support the development of processes and systems for corporate governance
  • Interpret company policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of six years of progressive working experience in risk and compliance
  • At least three years at middle management level in a busy commercial entity
  • A degree in business administration, economics, statistics, development finance or banking from a recognized university
  • A master’s degree in economics, commerce, microfinance or related field is an added advantage
