Georgia Tech Mandates Compliance Training for Employees in 2024 Spring Biannual Session

As part of its ongoing commitment to upholding University System of Georgia and Institute policies and compliance obligations, Georgia Tech has announced the launch of its 2024 Spring Biannual Compliance Training program. The training is required for all active employees as of January 29, including faculty, staff, and students.

Commitment to Compliance

“We appreciate the strong participation in last year’s Fall Biannual Compliance Training,” said General Counsel Danette Joslyn-Gaul. “As we begin this spring’s compliance training, we are grateful for everyone’s continued commitment to the training and to compliance across the Institute.”

Online Training Availability

The training is available online at b.gatech.edu/genius starting Monday, February 26. It must be completed by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, March 22.

Course Modules

This year’s program consists of two modules that can be completed in under 30 minutes:

  • 2024 Social Engineering Red Flags: This module covers important topics related to social engineering and how to identify potential threats.
  • Identifying Insider Threats: This module provides guidance on identifying and reporting insider threats.

Important Notes

The training is mandated by the University System of Georgia for all employees. It can be completed on desktop or laptop devices at any time. However, failure to complete the training by the deadline may result in disciplinary action by the Institute.
