Introduction
In order to safeguard the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Threshold Program, a collaboration between the governments of Togo and the United States, from financial fraud and corruption, the Millennium Challenge Account - Togo (OMCA-Togo) revealed a comprehensive Anti-Fraud and Corruption (AFC) Action Plan in December 2022.
The Importance of the AFC Action Plan
The MCA Threshold Program, launched in February 2019 with a $35 million budget, is aimed at promoting economic growth and alleviating poverty in Togo. However, losing funds to fraud or corruption would compromise the program’s ultimate goal.
