The United Nations Security Council has recently updated its sanctions list targeting North Korea, aiming to tighten its grip on suspected military programmes. This move affects two entities involved in the country’s nuclear and ballistic missile development.

Entities Removed from the Sanctions List

• The General Bureau of Atomic Energy (GBAE)
• The Academy of National Defense Science

These entities are still subject to an asset freeze, as they are suspected of playing a crucial role in advancing North Korea’s military capabilities.
